NIGERIA

     The annual Youth Camp was held in August. Over one thousand youth registered for the camp. The studies involved both Bible lessons and practical skills that will enable them to be economically sound and beneficial to their local congregation. The youth were taught how to maintain their Christian life style within the social and technological changes taking place in Nigeria. 

    Four hundred and thirty attended the women’s seminarheld at Ekori on August 25 – 27. The theme was Christian Service. 
 

GHANA CHURCH PLANTER

     Daniel Marley reports that he is planting two new churches. One is at the city of Kintampo. A Christian has given him land in a good location with a building that needs a roof. Funds are needed to put a roof on the structure. The second church plant is in the village of Bamboi where some farmers from the Christian Church in the Salaga area recently moved to his area. Both churches have good potential for growth. Daniel needs $1,400 for a new motor cycle to enable him to travel from his home in Gulumpe to the new church plants. 
 

GHANA
     I will be traveling to Ghana on September 12 to participate in the annual board meeting of the Christian Leadership Training Institute. The board has some serious decisions to make and needs your prayers. Please pray that the board members who travel from Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Liberian and the USA for the meeting will have safe travels to and from the meeting. Also pray for God’s wisdom as the board members make serious decisions about the future of the work of the Institute in Ghana. The work of the Institute is going well in the other three countries of Nigeria, Ivory Coast and Liberia. 
 

PRAISE AND PRAYER REQUESTS:

1. Thank God for the successful Youth Camp and Women Seminar in Nigeria.

2. Thank God for the opportunity to plant churches in Kintampo and Bamboi, Ghana.

3. Ask God to bless the work of Daniel Marley and his fellow Christians as they work together to establish new churches.

4. Ask God to provide funds for a new motorcycle for Daniel Marley so he will not have to depend on public transport to get to the three locations where he is planting new churches. 

5. Ask God to give board members of the Christian Leadership Training Institute safe travels to and from their meeting on September 15 and 16. 

6. Ask God to give the board members wisdom as they make serious decisions about the work of the Christian Leadership Training Institute in Ghana. 

7. Pray that God will give wisdom to those who vote for new political leaders in the elections of Ghana and the USA in November.
