To our faithful prayer partners:
We’re sending this brief update to ask you to:
· Give thanks that everything is set for us to close this morning on selling the house that has been our home (or at least our home base) for the past 22 years. Then early this afternoon we are set to close on the purchase of the house that will be our next home.
· Pray that all the scheduled signings and funds transfers will proceed smoothly and as planned. Pray also that we will get the keys to our new home by mid-afternoon.
· Pray for protection of everyone involved in loading our stuff onto the moving truck (beginning about 2:00 Texas time) and then unloading it at our new place.
· Pray for us as we begin settling into our new home. It’s smaller and arranged so differently that there are few “automatic” decisions about where to put things. Pray that in the minute-by-minute stress we will not lose sight of why we are here: to glorify God and to serve Him on behalf of the world’s remaining Bibleless, churchless people.
We are so blessed! Want an example? The couple buying our house will be helping us move, even driving the U-Haul truck for us! Want another? Josh and Karissa came last weekend to help finish packing and to help move all our upstairs furniture and boxes downstairs so loading could go easier and faster today! Can we give you one more? Our neighbor provided lunch Saturday, and friends from church are providing dinner this evening for us and our moving crew.
