West Virginia Flood Response
Record-breaking rainfall drenched our brothers and sisters in West Virginia over the weekend leading to the third-deadliest flood in the State’s history. Twenty-five people have been confirmed dead, and many homes have been damaged or destroyed. Infrastructure in some communities is in shambles, but disaster response work has begun.

IDES is dispatching our DART Coordinator and shipping a semi-trailer load of our storage shed kits.  The kits will be assembled by area volunteers to benefit families affected by the flooding. Gateway Christian Church in St. Alban’s, WV will be assisting with the sheds. IDES will also be distributing disaster kits and cleaning supplies with the assistance of Ronceverte Christian Church in Ronceverte, WV. We will post pictures and more information on our website and social media platforms this coming Wednesday.

Please pray for the families affected. If you would like to support the response efforts, please follow this link: Donate Now    – Select “Specific Designation, See Comments Below” in the drop-down “Designation” box, then type “West Virginia Flood” in the “Comments” box.

This Week

Mon. June 27th – Devotional

Have you ever been to the wilderness?

You know what the wilderness is. That dryness that creeps into your soul like the heat creeps from the sun. That arid desert of doubt that dehydrates your faith. That crackling time of trial that breaks you like the dried out dirt. Have you been there?
