We have been working for more than a year to get everything in order so that our partners who desire to serve in Ambon can be granted resident and work permits. They have spent more than 12 months in Ambon using visitor’s visas. They need to extend the current one in about a week, but when they requested a form, they were told by the person manning the desk, that she would have to consult with her superior to see if another extension would be granted. Pray that it will!
Also pray that the person we selected to help run the papers in Jakarta will be able to make progress quickly. We may have chosen a person who is not as experienced as we had believed him to be. We need the Lord’s intervention.
This family has proven themselves to be effective cross cultural evangelists. For our long term prayer partners they were the couple forced to leave Pleasant Port four years ago when local religious leaders became upset over the number of people coming to faith.
