The goal of Project New Hope is to give hope to the suffering, socially abandoned, economically trapped and spiritually seeking in Santo Domingo, Ecuador, and Trujillo, Peru. PNH works with nationals in the communities, establishing churches to empower the poor to experience personal and community transformation, using the key strategies of Community Health Evangelism (CHE) and Bible storytelling.

Dear Friends of Project New Hope,

On a recent visit to Santo Domingo, Ecuador, and Trujillo, Peru, I worshipped with the Santa Marta church in Santo Domingo, Ecuador. The church is full of life, and you could sense the impact that transformation is making as the young and old, the new Christians and seekers, all mingled and expressed joy to one another.

But it was Gabriel’s testimony that inspired me the most!

Gabriel used to be an alcoholic single father. Now he is a leader in the church and preached a powerful sermon on the morning I visited. He is growing as a father and is steadily leading the rest of his family to Jesus.

Then there’s Wiley, a 21-year-old man who, despite being a Christian for just a couple of years, is a member of the team in Trujillo, Peru, that has started five new house churches and baptized 10 people in the first few months of this year. Wiley has dedicated himself to caring for the people in his barrio. He has shared Christ with his mother, a very influential woman in the barrio, and she was baptized about four months ago. Since then both his brother and father have become Christians.

Through Wiley’s ministry the youth group in Trujillo has grown spiritually and numerically. He directed the youth event the Friday I was there; 18 young people attended.

The ministries in Peru and Ecuador are growing because lives are being touched through new initiatives like these:

  • The after-school tutoring program where children and adults learn to read
  • Four new micro businesses
  • Four new house churches in Santo Domingo
  • Five new house churches in Trujillo
  • A new discipleship program with 40 participants

These new and growing initiatives require an additional $2,400 per month to support continued and future growth.

Would you commit to give $50 or $100 per month through 2017?

Or would you consider giving a special contribution to join God in what He is doing in Trujillo and Santo Domingo?

Project New Hope + CMF

CMF and Project New Hope are part of an exciting partnership with Team Expansion missionaries Mike and Dani Bukta and their work in Peru and Ecuador. Through this partnership we will work together toward holistic mission where disciples are made, individual lives are transformed, and nationals are empowered to lead. U.S. churches will be challenged to actively partner in this ministry with the goal of creating dynamic Christ-centered communities (churches) that can transform the world.
