February 2016

So the churches were strengthened in the faith,
and increased in number daily.
Acts 16:5
During the month of January, PCM welcomed 11 students and 2 leaders from Taylor University (Upland, Indiana) to Poland. What a great group of students! They eagerly engaged the Polish culture and served its people.

The Taylor team joined the ELI interns for a day of prayer-walking in the Wilanow district of Warsaw. This is the area targeted for the next church plant. Small groups met to pray and walk through the neighborhoods of this fast-growing region. The day concluded with a time of debriefing and fellowship at a restaurant nearby.

For two weeks, the Taylor students taught English and interacted with hundreds of Polish youth in six different schools in Sandomierz and Tarnobrzeg. Not only were relationships established with these youth, but teachers and school directors were also impacted. The presence of these joy-filled students helped build bridges between the local churches and their communities that we pray will bear fruit in the near future.
It was a blessed time as the students shared in times of worship, prayer, and giving testimony with the church in Sandomierz. The moments spent in prayer over Adam Byra and the leaders of the church were especially moving. The following week the students shared in the worship services with the church in Dąbrowa Górnicza. We praise God for using this team to bring joy and encouragement to these churches.

We rejoice with Jarek Sciwiarski and the church in Dabrowa Gornicza as four individuals surrendered their lives in baptism last Sunday. Welcome, Maria, Magda, Samuel, and Mariusz to the family of God!

Please pray for…
… our time this week in Poland with 3 leaders from the Bloomsburg Christian Church (PA) as we meet with several churches and seek living link connections.
… the meeting we will have on Wed., Feb. 3, with leaders from Gdynia, Grudziadz, Lidzbark Welski, Olsztyn, and Ostroda, as together we plan an outreach camp for 12-15 year olds in Ostroda next summer.
… the seeds planted in Sandomierz and Tarnobrzeg to bear fruit
