Masvingo Christian Church in Masvingo, Zimbabwe will be celebrating their 50th Anniversary on 20 and 21 February 2016. The congregation was established by Tom Thurman originally as a ministry to boarding school students. Over the years Tom Thurman, Wayne Unger, Richard Smith and Ben Pennington have served as ministers to this church. Zimbabwe nationals Michiel Coetzer and Joseph Mafa now minister to the church. The congregation averages 230 in attendance and is self-supported. David Thurman, Tom’s son, will be the speaker at the anniversary celebrations.
