- Julia is a student from Quincy College who has been serving with us since we launched October 18th. She volunteers weekly in Children’s Ministry because she wants to major in elementary education. Julia does not have a relationship with Jesus. Please pray that we have opportunities to invest in Julia and share the Gospel with her.
- A couple of Sunday’s ago Eric drove by RESTORE on the way to a job site. As one of our volunteers was standing in the road greeting people, Eric stopped to see who we were and what we were doing. Eric had several questions about the church, shared a little bit of his story, seemed interested, but had to get to work. We gave him an information card and he went on his way. Not knowing if we would see him again, we prayed that God would send us just one more person to share his love with. God continued to work on Eric’s heart and the following Sunday he showed up for a worship service. We don’t know where Eric finds himself in his relationship with God, but join us in praying for Eric as we can see God is already at work in his heart. Pray that Eric continues to listen to God’s leading and perhaps he’ll find a church home at RESTORE.
- Jola is a high school student who recently started attending RESTORE with her mom. Even though she’s very shy, Jola jumped in and started serving right away. Pray that Jola will continue to explore and grow and stay connected at RESTORE. Also pray that God gives us opportunities to reach more students with the Gospel!

- Please pray for and celebrate Lisa with us. Lisa is the NorthPointer who received a gift from the Dollar Club Ministry to help replace her teeth after being in an abusive relationship. It’s been phenomenal to see others at NorthPointe, especially her community group, go above and beyond in caring for her. Perhaps the greatest outcome is the confidence she’s received based on the love her community group. During a video interview she revealed just how damaged her sense of worth was. She went from thinking the pain and trouble she was experiencing in her mouth was not worth the attention of her friends and family, to the realization that it was, and that the God of the universe cared about it as well. Her boldness and willingness to be vulnerable has already blessed NorthPointe. Pray for continued boldness as she continues to share this story and continues to bless people. You can see her video interview here: https://vimeo.com/150438782
- Please pray for Amaya. Amaya is a junior higher who started attending NorthPointe’s Student Ministries a little over two months ago. She’s extremely inquisitive about everything and always has great questions for us. Recently we’ve challenged her to read the Bible on her own and she’s started to try it out. She’s also just told us that her dad doesn’t like Christianity and doesn’t like that she comes to the Student Ministry. Please pray that her curiosity continues and that she keeps taking small steps towards God in spite of this opposition.
- Please pray for Brooke. Brooke and her family have been attending NorthPointe for almost a year now. Recently, Brooke shared her struggle with depression and social anxiety. She mentioned that she is beginning to fight it for the first time in a while, and is grateful that God has given her that strength. Please pray for Brooke and continued strength while she fights this and seeks professional help. Also pray for the people of NorthPointe to surround her in love and help her through this process.

SouthPointe Christian Church
- Justen is a core member of SPCC and has served hosting a home group, teaching the high schoolers, and greeting on Sunday mornings. A couple of weeks ago Justen started a new job that requires him to work most evenings, taking him away from serving with SPCC and spending time with his wife. Please pray that Justen is able to find a good balance with his new job and is still able to be part of the serving community at SPCC.
- Meg is a kindhearted soul who brings so much to SPCC. Lately Meg is having some relationship troubles. Please pray that God will be a part of these relationships and heal any hurts.
- This past Sunday (Jan 3rd) we moved to the Showcase Cinemas for our Sunday morning services. It was a great first Sunday, but we would love continued prayers for the move and that God will help us be a part of the new community where we are meeting.

- In August, we asked you to pray with us for Michelle and her two teenage daughters who moved here about a year ago and had to completely start over their lives. Michelle started working in our children’s ministry and has been increasingly involved with our church family. She is now faced with the need to find a new home for herself and her daughters. Michelle’s heart is heavy because she is faced with trying to get her daughters to come back to God while also struggling to figure out how to provide for them. Please join us in praying that they would all seek God and trust Him to provide for them.
- OceanPointe has had a baby boom during the last few months! One of the families expecting a child this month is that of George and Stacy, whom we’ve been asking you to lift up for several months now. They’re still awaiting the Navy’s decision whether or not to keep George in the Service despite his ongoing back problems. This family has been through a lot lately trying to counsel friends across the country whose marriage is breaking apart. Please join us in praying for a healthy new baby and God’s protection over this family during this season of life.
- Construction has begun on our new space attached to the movie theater, so we would appreciate your continued prayers for God’s blessing over this endeavor meant to grow His church in New England.
- We are also excited to welcome our new children’s minister, Callie Jackson, who began serving alongside our team this month. A new resident ministry partner named Elise Ehresman will be joining our team this summer, as well. God has richly blessed our church family, and we are honored to make Him known here on Aquidneck Island!

- Praise God that we welcomed many first time guests to our Christmas services. Please pray for them to continue connections with the church and to explore a relationship with Jesus.
- Please pray for Melinda and her family. After becoming aware of spiritual darkness and oppression in her life, Melinda ran toward Jesus to find peace and protection. As a result, she chose to give her life to Jesus and be baptized in December. Pray for Melinda to continue to experience freedom in Christ from the darkness that has been present in her life for quite some time. Pray that she will experience more of the light of Christ that drives away darkness.
- The holidays and New Year have been a really difficult time for some people of BridgePointe. This is especially true for Jenn, a young lady with two children, who lost her husband unexpectedly last summer. She is searching for healing and hope from Jesus as she tries to walk through the grief, loneliness, and fear of life as a single widowed mother of two. Pray for the church to love and care for her the way God intends and pray for her to experience the comfort and peace of the Holy Spirit.
