Update on Richmond

We feel that this year’s conference in Richmond was a big success, and for many reasons!

  • We were able to enjoy a great spirit of collaboration with the Virginia Evangelizing Fellowship – now called Waypoint Church Partners.

  • We enjoyed many attendees from the Eastern Christian Conference who merged with us in Richmond!

  • 7 new churches were planted through our collaboration with Waypoint.  We give praise to God for the work of the churches in Virginia and the leadership of Waypoint as they capitalized on ICOM coming to the east coast to dream big.  This was one of the greatest accomplishments we have seen from any partnership.

  • Our attendance was 6,500 people throughout the weekend.

  • 19 decisions were made for service.

  • Our offering goal was $60,000.00.  It was not only met, but greatly surpassed to $96,000.00!  As far as we know, this is the highest offering ever received in our history!

  • Jim Tune led the conference with the theme “The Away Team” very effectively and many thought the theme fit perfectly with what’s happening in our world today. There was a great spirit throughout the convention center all weekend!

  • We received many favorable comments in regards to the city, the convention center and the shuttle buses they provided. ICOM cannot say thank you enough for those services provided for our attendees!!

Here at ICOM we believe in giving. One way we show that is through our For Missionaries Only Pre-Conference each year. This event is provided free of charge. In fact, ICOM covers breakfast, dinner, and one night’s lodging for all missionaries who attend. Many missionaries say this is the highlight of ICOM for them because it provides a time for them to be ministered to on a more intimate basis. We feel investing in our missionaries and giving to them in this way is a worthy investment in the kingdom. Would you help us help them? We can only continue to provide such a service to our missionaries through the faithful giving of our partners in this ministry. On this Giving Tuesday 2015, would you give a gift and invest in the life of a missionary!

Usually, ICOM lands on the weekend before Thanksgiving. This year the conference was a few weeks earlier, at the beginning of the month. We know many people (us included!) that were happy to have a few weeks to settle back in before Thanksgiving festivities begin.

From the staff at ICOM, we want to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving!  We hope that you are able to enjoy your time off and be with your family and loved ones during this seasonal event.  We have all certainly been blessed.

Looking forward to sharing more with you soon.  Benediciones-
