You’re going beyond the surface…
you’re rebuilding lives and communities that are rooted and established in love.

Meet Analene and Juan
These precious children are connected with our new Roots Sponsorship Program, which was recently launched in Guatemala.

Analene and Juan are just two of many Guatemalan children who are loved, prayed for, and sponsored exclusively by individuals and families from a supporting U.S. church. As these sponsors invest in the children and church, the community is being transformed and rebuilt as a place filled with hope and God’s love!

Recently, Yoselyn, our coordinator in Guatemala, shared more about the children, their families, and their church youth activities with the children’s sponsors.

We invite you to take a few minutes to meet
Analene, Juan, and all the children…

Analene
Meet Analene

Analene Rebeca Hernandez Ramirez just turned 9 years old. She lives with her mother, her brother, her grandmother and two aunts.  She comes to church with her aunts; her mother works and cannot attend church for this reason.

She is a very smart girl and a little quiet but she likes having friends; Anlene is very close to her brother. She likes jumping rope, and at Sunday school she pays attention and easily learns the things we teach.

She lives close to church and likes coming to share together with other children God’s love.

Juan
Meet Juan

Juan Carlos Gutiérrez is a very obedient boy and special in his family.  When he is asked a favor, he never says “no,” he does it obeying; he is a very exemplary boy.

His mother has dedicated herself to raise him and his brothers on her own and has fought greatly for them to have everything that is necessary. At home, the mother is the only one who works and when she comes home, the children receive her with a big hug and much love, which is something unique.

Juan and his brothers never miss church and day after day are learning more about what wonderful it is to make Jesus part of our lives.

You can go beyond the surface:
invest in the emerging generation!

Each day, families and communities throughout Central America and the Caribbean are being uprooted by poverty, gang violence, and lost opportunities.

You can go beyond the surface to restore hope and rebuild lives and communities that are “rooted and established in love.”

You’ll invest in the emerging generation, develop more leaders, plant new churches, and refresh existing congregations!
