Dear Friends and Supporters

ONLINE LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT CLASSES

We are working with Hubert Lisas, an internet technology expert in the Philippines, and Paul Wilson, a missionary in the Philippines, to put our leadership development courses (TEE) on the internet so that all the world can have access to them. We are using a free software called Moodle that is designed by educators from around the world. Hubert is setting up the courses on the website. I am proofreading and editing them to be sure they work in the context of the software and the internet.

The courses will be in English, but if this is successful, we will add the courses in Spanish, French and other languages. We have three courses prepared for testing. We also have a course to train group leaders in the three-step method of using the courses for leadership development. We will do field testing this winter using students and a group leader in Nigeria. We plan to make them available on the internet by next Spring.

These online courses are for Christians who want to grow in their walk with God and especially for those whom God is calling into leadership. They could be used by small groups and youth groups for discipleship training. The beginning courses, Christian Faith, Christian Life and Christian Marriage, give a Biblical foundation for all Christians. Other courses will be added as we have time and resources. To learn more about the courses or the three-step method of leadership development go to our website at grassrootsld.org.

NIGERIA

Sunday Ude reports that they graduated six students from the Cross River Bible College on November 7. Some of the graduates will serve internships in the existing churches until new churches can be started. The college will have twenty-five students enrolled for the next academic year.

Thirty TEE students also graduated this year. Thirty preachers participated in one month of refresher courses during August.

All the churches celebrated Women’s Day on October 25.

PRAISE AND PRAYER REQUESTS:

1. Thank God for the opportunity to put TEE classes online.

2. Thank God for the successful Women’s Day in Nigeria.

3. Thank God for the graduates in Nigeria from the College and from the TEE classes.

4. Pray for the success of the TEE classes online.

5. Pay for extra funds for Nigeria to repair their van damaged in an accident and to replace two motorcycles that were stolen from preachers.

6. Pray that the board of directors for the Christian Leadership Training Institute can find a qualified Administrative Director.

7. Pray for extra funds for the work in Ghana as we deal with several problems.
