We Have Tickets!!

Greetings,

The big day is quickly approaching! At 10:40 p.m. on September 13th our family of five will take off from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport for a 17-hour flight on an Airbus A380. It’s the longest nonstop flight in the world at 8,577 miles. Then we have layovers in Sydney and Brisbane before flying to Luganville, Vanuatu where our teammates will meet us (and our luggage hopefully!). All together it will take about 30 hours to get there.

In case you’re wondering what people do before they move halfway around the world, we have been….

*soaking up time with family     *researching and buying plane tickets     *filling out final paperwork for PBT     *switching to overseas insurance     *getting ahead in homeschool     *visiting supporting churches     *raising more support     *buying new glasses for everyone     *reserving hotel room for the nights in Dallas before we fly out (yay for airline miles!)     *buying items on Amazon     *e-mailing with our landlord about the house     *getting spiritually, emotionally and physically ready to go     *reading books that will prepare us for our ministry in Vanuatu     *switching our bills to paperless and auto pay     *getting 220V adapters for our electronics     *selling our two vehicles     *doing one last project for our stateside departments     *giving away or storing the last of our items     *collecting old Tupperware to keep the bugs, rats, and humidity out of our food     *making our will & power of attorney     *getting physicals & follow ups done on all of us     *and keeping all of you updated! 🙂

We are in this odd no man’s land of transition right now, but we are busy using it to prepare our family for life and ministry in Vanuatu.

Thank you so much for standing with us as we make this scary, exciting, uprooting, unnerving leap of faith!

Angie (for Matt and the kids, too)

Because we loved you so much, we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well.  1 Thessalonians 2:8
