Herchenroeder Prayer Update – August 25 2015 – Pray for Mike and Eunice in their extended time in the U.S.

Special update for our prayer partners:

You are aware from our weekly prayer updates that we have had to extend our time here in the U.S. as we await healing from Mike’s relapse of chronic fatigue. We asked you and others to pray for wisdom and guidance for us, and God has answered. With the blessing of the elders of our sending church in Indiana, and in consultation with various leaders in Pioneer Bible Translators, we have decided to remain in the U.S. through the end of this year. If you would like additional information, we would be happy to send you a copy of the message that we wrote to our financial partners. We are grateful for your prayers and encouragement as we face the disappointment of Mike’s illness and the adjustment of finding ourselves in circumstances very different from what we expected.

Thank God:

·      For His presence and for His perfect peace.

·      For clear guidance in the decision to remain in the U.S. through the end of this year and for affirmations that we chose wisely

Please Pray:

·      That God will heal Mike and fully restore his energy.

·      For our teammates in Papua New Guinea, especially Brian, who is designated to become the team’s next director and who is already fulfilling most of these responsibilities in Mike’s absence.

·      For healing of Somau Garia translator Ezekiel’s eyes. He has a degenerative condition that cannot be treated. Pray that God will spare his eyesight so that he can continue his work translating God’s Word.
