Ray Carter Murphy

Ray Carter Murphy, 72, of Troutville, Virginia went to be with the Lord Sunday, August 2, 2015 at Springtree Health and Rehabilitation Center, Roanoke, Virginia.

Born February 4, 1943 in Beaverdam, Virginia, he was the son of the late Marshall and Viola (Lowry) Murphy. Ray was a 1961 graduate of Patrick Henry High School in Ashland, VA and graduated from Eastern Christian College in Bel Air, MD in 1965. 
He was ordained into the Christian ministry on September 22, 1963 at the Chapel Church of Christ, in Beaverdam, VA. He served as minister at Lincoln Park Christian in Church Mechanicsville, VA for three years, Tomahawk Christian Church in Hedgesville, WV for 27 years, and Botetourt Church of Christ in Fincastle, VA for five years. He served as Director of Development for Central India Christian Mission (C.I.C.M.) for eleven years. He was a member of Salem Church of Christ in Salem, Virginia.

John Mark Myers

ICOM wishes to express our deepest sympathies to the family of John-Mark Myers.

 John-Mark was killed in an automobile accident on the morning of August 3, 2015 near Lynchburg, Ohio.  He was the son of Matt & Robin Myers who served as missionaries in Moscow, Russia in 2001, and he is survived by his parents, brother, Christian Myers; and by his finance, Felicia Mullins.  John-Mark was an active member of the U.S. Army  Reserve, a combat veteran and a member of the Martinsville (Ohio) Church of Christ.  Please pray for his family during this time.  Obituary and service times can be viewed at www.turnerfuneralhomes.cc.
