The Away Team – How Appropriate & Timely!

The emphasis of the 2015 ICOM is church planting, yet this year’s theme of the “Away Team” is also hitting the mark regarding how, as Christians, we are living in a society that is moving away from Jesus at the speed of light. Have you seen the reports from the Supreme Court? Have you seen the acts of terrorism around the world? ICOM president Jim Tune, a church planter from Toronto, has prepared a powerful message that is incredibly timely. His theme accurately describes the landscape for Christ’s Church in America and is timely to help us realize how we engage or deal as the “away team” – the underdogs.

SICOM’s theme this year is likewise as timely: EXILES. Based on 1 Peter 2: 11,12 the focus for SICOM is for our students to realize that, as God’s people, we are chosen, different and destined to shine! Never before has SICOM’s theme been so timely…we’re to live life as exiles…SICOM is for all high school & middle school students and will feature Jayson French preaching, Carrollton leading worship and Dave & Brian’s comedy.
