Dear friends in the Lord
I hope you are doing fine. You will be shocked to know that in a village, Mandi Bahauddin, district Gojra, Pakistan,a Christian young boy named Imran was accused of blasphemying prophet of Islam. Actually Imran showed his Muslim friend wedding ceremony photos and left his cell phone with his friend. A Muslim friend found a video clip where a pastor was delivering sermon and he thought that sermon is against Islam. He spread that news among Muslims and they gathered against poor Christians. The enraged mob persecuted and threatened Christians “accept Islam or leave that area” (Daily Times,Lahore. May 17, 2016).
There is no doubt, that forced conversion to Islam is going on among marginalized minorities in Pakistan. Pakistan People Party’s Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari expressed his concern on the above incidence that extremists “were inciting violence against Christian community and threatening them to covert or leave” (Daily Times, Lahore. May 17, 2016).
