Istanbul

The city of Istanbul is a unique meeting place of eastern and western cultures, straddling the continents of Europe and Asia. It features prominently in both Christian and Islamic history. The apostle Paul planted churches in nearby cities but today Turkey is one of the least Christian nations in the world. New opportunties are arising for a church to be planted in a city dubbed “the center of the world.”

Bilge

Bilge* was raised in Germany, but his family’s cultural roots are strongly Turkish. He grew up in a secular environment, choosing Zen-Buddhism as his faith during his teens. He shares, “As a ferocious reader I read and disliked Islam, Christianity, and other ‘book religions’, considering them irrelevant and not up-to-date.” Yet God kept placing Christians in Bilge’s path.
