4 JULY 10/40 plus
As the United States celebrates Independence from the oppression of outside influences, we at MERCY PARTNERS are in constant reminder that SOUTH SUDAN remains the world’s newest country since July 9th, 2011. Days leading to the 9th had been filled with celebration until 2013 when tribal clashes destroyed the liberty and freedom that independence was meant to secure.
This week marks three years of civil war in South Sudan. Every year we provide Help, Hope, and Love to the displaced and the most vulnerable in this conflict zone inflicted by man-made catastrophe.
As you celebrate freedom this 4th of July, pray for the land of South Sudan, the land of Kush, to be as free as the United States someday soon. Pray for the Prince of Peace to be present among the government and the land.
We ask prayer for our partners in the Netherlands as Paul’s wife had become ill with an unknown ailment. We ask Father for special healing upon Deysi as she has grown increasingly fatigued and weak without any particular symptoms.
In the United States, our Partner in Sublette Kansas, Ryan Riley has returned home after Chemotherapy. Although the treatment and ailment have taken their toll on Ryan, he is enjoying the comfort of his home and family – for this, we can be grateful and we ask our heavenly Father for comfort and healing.
Sandie & Tom will be headed west to Oklahoma over the next few days and Thomas will be manning the office. Our famine relief continues through July and CHOLERA mitigation is on the rise. All of our operations in translation, Bible Study, medical and survival outreach need prayer as we are making advancements for Christ’s Church in South Sudan, Uganda, Netherlands and the United States as well as some off-grid countries. Where the kingdom of God advances, we can be assured that attacks will arise. Your prayers empower us and your giving enables us.
