Homeless in Haiti
Although Hurricane Matthew has faded from our headlines, the Haitian families in the hurricane’s path continue to live with its impact. Their lives have been uprooted: homes flattened, gardens washed away, and schools damaged.
Due to your generosity, they are seeing a glimmer of hope through food relief: locally purchased rice and beans are being distributed, while nutritious, rice-based meals that you packaged are being shipped to Haiti.
But long-term relief through reconstruction and safe homes is still a major concern for families on the western side of Haiti. Schools need rebuilt so that children have a safe place to learn, churches need reconstructed, and families need a strong place to call home.
Adam, our Haiti Mission Director, shares…
This is Marie Maude, our School Director at Torbeck Christian School, whose home was completely destroyed by Hurricane Matthew. She is in great need for a home. The situation is complicated for her and for hundreds of people in that area who is in the same situation like her.
Before the Hurricane Matthew, life was difficult in Haiti. Now, it is worse. Most of the Haitians had gardens to take care of themselves. Now, the crops are devastated, animals died, and due to inflation, it is really difficult to buy food and construction material.
Your help is greatly needed to help us rebuild homes, churches and schools and restore hope to the hopeless as soon as possible.

Many of you have generously given towards Hurricane Matthew relief;
thank you!
To continue to help families in Haiti, we need your assistance to extend our network of churches, businesses, and organizations. Can you share these needs with your church, your workplace, a local business, or an organization who would invest in the children & families in Haiti through food, shelter, and education?
