Prayer requests from Sudan

Dear Mission,

We pause and give the Lord glory and thanksgiving for a unique yet peaceful season that is being enjoyed all over the country of Sudan for the last 6 months. The Sudan government made a decision to extend the ceasefire for another 3 months in conflict areas. We have had a partial lifting of economic sanctions since January 2017. This is a great blessing for the nation. We have good beginnings of the rainy season and have reports that crops are growing well in the farmlands.

Join us in praying for:

The Lord’s sovereign will would be shown to Sudan through the leaders.
Now more than ever the Sudan people would recognize their need for God.
The Church in Sudan would recover from the state of apathy.
The economic sanctions imposed on Sudan are lifted permanently.
Rains will continue steadily and sufficiently to make the farming season successful.
Incidences of diarrhea will be controlled in areas of outbreak.
Peace talks to resume and humanitarian aid to be delivered to the needy.
