L.I.F.E. - Love Is For Eternity
Many hands…one purpose
Did you know that you are influencing and changing the lives of people you may never meet? When you serve as a volunteer with Lifeline, you are impacting lives around the world!

Lifeline depends on many ministry volunteers – volunteers like you – who serve generously with their time in our office, warehouse, assisting with events, and advocating for Lifeline…all to show God’s love in Lifeline’s global ministry communities. Your time sorting peanut butter helps provide food for a young child in Haiti, while preparing sponsor gifts for shipment results in giggles of delight as a Honduran girl opens her gift.  Your time organizing a child sponsorship drive results in a child seeing God’s love radiated through their sponsor. And the list goes on and on!

Jennifer, a recent volunteer, shared her experience:
Being a missionary with Lifeline Christian Mission is truly unbelievable.  I have always loved doing missionary work since day one, but at Lifeline it is different.  As soon as you step through the office door, you’re greeted with smiles and warmhearted people. To see such a growing foundation based on others’ needs is so electrifying.

A few years ago I took a mission trip to Haiti with my church.  Being in Haiti, surrounded by men, women and children that are flamboyant about everything, changed my mind set. Here I am mad over not being able to have the latest designer jeans when, there, they are suffering but it never showed in their actions.

Recently, I experienced volunteering in Lifeline’s facility in Westerville, Ohio. It gave me the chance to serve closer to home. At Lifeline’s office, we were escorted to a conference room where we watched a video explaining how to process sponsor gifts for shipment to the mission field. Everyone was very helpful as we got started.  We were making things easier for the children as they received their gifts.

I only got a glimpse of all the awesome things that Lifeline does for Haiti and Honduras, but what I saw was a masterpiece that God helped put together.  Lifeline is important to me because it got me thinking of being a missionary some day; dedicating my whole life to others.

Use your gifts to serve others!

Each of you has been blessed with one of God’s many wonderful gifts to be used in the service of others.
So use your gift well.

Guatemala
  • The team from New Day Christian Church (Port Charlotte, FL) is having a great trip! They visited with sponsor children, and worshiped at Lifeline’s principal church in Guatemala City and in several house churches.  They also presented a program for the children.

Honduras
  • Earlier this month, the ladies work team visited one of our newest churches in Santa Cruz, where the children and families are very poor.  As the ladies were visiting the homes in the community to share about the church, they blessed the families with dresses for the girls and shorts & t-shirts for the boys.  They even provided extra clothing for the pastor to give out to the children in the church.  We greatly appreciate the clothing donations that were provided for these children!

  • In October, a team of six people from Red Sands Christian Church traveled to Haiti, and it forever changed their lives! Brian (our Navajo Nation Administrator) shared “The joy on our team members’ faces and the pain in their hearts of the absolute poverty was unforgettable.”  Catch our recent update for more about their experience and additional ministry news.

You (literally!) keep ministry moving
There are a lot of moving parts in Lifeline’s facilities in Haiti…parts that are well used and continually put to the test by children, staff, and the weather.

But sometimes those parts fail.

Bobby Curlee, Lifeline’s Plant Manager (who can fix nearly anything!), heads to Haiti next week. He’ll be working on some much-needed maintenance and repairs, which require over $500 in parts and materials, such as vent fans, photo cells, bulbs, welder, and door knobs, along with the fees to get the items to Haiti.

Can you help cover the cost of these parts?
