How to Help Hurricane Harvey Victims

Matching Gift Challenge

IDES US Disaster Response Coordinator is being deployed to one of our partner churches in Houston. We will be working with the church to help victims of Hurricane Harvey. Once the flood waters recede enough in their community, volunteer teams will begin removing damaged dry-wall and insulation to dry out the homes and begin the rebuilding process. We will also be deploying storage buildings to the affected areas in order to provide a safe, dry location for people’s belongings while their homes are being repaired.

In addition, IDES will continue to send supplies, resources, funding and expertise to this, and other church partners in the affected area.

Please pray for victims as they rebuild, churches as they reach out, and IDES staff as they deploy.

A generous donor has offered to match up to $50,000 in Hurricane Harvey contributions.

To illustrate, if you make a gift of $100 toward IDES’ hurricane relief efforts, we will receive an additional $100 to meet even more needs in the communities devastated by Harvey.

Contributions of any size qualify for this matching gift opportunity. Whether you are a first-time donor, or a long-time friend of IDES, the impact of your gift will be doubled. Please share your best gift today! You can give to IDES Hurricane Harvey relief fund by clicking on the link below and choosing the designation “Hurricane”, or by writing “Hurricane” on the memo line of your check. Checks can be mailed to:
