FAME IS HIRING A NEW DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT

FAME has an immediate opening for a Director of Development. The Director of Development serves as the primary fundraiser for the ministry. He/she works under the direction of the Executive Director to plan and execute a development/fundraising strategy that effectively targets churches, individual donors, foundations, and corporations. THE HOPE OF CHRIST DELIVERED

With the passing of another Memorial Day, I am again reminded of the sacrifices that were made by hundreds of men and women for my religious freedom. Many died so I can worship my God freely, anytime and anyplace I choose.

I am preparing to travel to a country next month that does not possess these same freedoms. Every day, people are persecuted for their belief and love for Jesus Christ.

Why would FAME choose to go to a country like this? FAME is sending help and hope in the name of Christ to the world through medical evangelism is the answer.

We want to thank you for your faithful support of FAME! Your support allows us to tuck inside each medicine bottle and wrap up in every bandage the help and hope of Christ and hand deliver it to those who so desperately need it.

ON THE WAY TO KENYA

On June 3, FAME said farewell to a container bound for Narok, Kenya. Thanks to the help of volunteers willing to come in with only a couple of days notice, all of the supplies were loaded in 4 hours. However, the flexibility required to load the container was typical of the entire process.

The story begins in October 2015 when FAME was first contacted by Dr. Marty Graber inquiring about sending a container of supplies and equipment to the Lions Maternal Child hospital in Narok. Dr. Graber’s focus at the clinic is on labor and delivery and pediatrics. To learn more about the hospital click here. Thanks to some recent donations of incubators and other supplies, we were well stocked to fill the container. After all of the requested items were pulled, palletized and recorded, we received word that the Kenyan government had changed the import rules. This started a 7 month process which required the coordination of efforts between 10+ groups! (read more)
