Exciting Plans For Kids at the ECC
In keeping with the ECC’s 50th anniversary celebration, we’ve pulled out all the stops for the children’s programming this year. Our theme, “Kidz U”, focuses on encouraging and equipping our K-5th graders to be the best disciples of Christ they can be.
“I’ve never liked the saying that ‘Children are the church of the future’, says Rick Weiss, Children’s Conference chairman. “I prefer to say that children are a vital part of the church now – and they’re the church leadersof the future! That was the inspiration for ‘Kidz U’!”
“Kidz U” sessions will include great music, skits and Bible lessons as well as the “Kidz Kollege of Biblical Knowledge” where students can choose from a variety of courses including puppetry, drama, praise dance and clown ministry. Your children won’t want to miss a minute of the conference. We kick things off Friday night with a performance by nationally known storyteller, Tim Hartman.
There will also be plenty of “hands-on” experiences including ice-breakers, a prayer walk, food-packing with Lifeline Mission and a “Sock Hop for the Homeless”!
“Kidz U” will be led by a tremendous group of “professors” who bring literally hundreds of years of “Kid Min” experience to Hershey this year. We are especially excited to have “Professor Emeritus” Ken Meade coming to encourage and instruct our children on how to share the joy of Christ with their families and friends. By the time your children “graduate” from “Kidz U” it is our prayer that they will be challenged to do some great things for the Kingdom!
